Just wanna say thanx to everyone who played/attended our Hurricane Helene Benefit show this last Saturday. We raised money for Beloved Asheville to aid in their relief efforts in Western NC. Grateful for our little community for coming together here. And now, another beautiful week of live music incoming! - Caroline
TUESDAY:
THE BUG CLUB (6:30PM) <18+> A rock band from Caldicot, Monmouthshire (Wales, people - get educated). I love this, I wonder how many pints of milk these people will drink at bobbie's play house. Sub Pop band (what's up you freaks) so I'm partial as always! - Greg
Angular indie rock from Wales with dueling vocalists, and a habit of selling out shows in NYC. Close to sellout, this one feels like a fun one to me - Alex
Truly fun indie-pop from South Wales. They're like The Modern Lovers or the B-52s, but signed to Sub-Pop. Fun as hell. Equally fun band Foyer Red opens the show! Love those guys. Will this show sell out soon? I say yes. - Carson
Oh yeahhhh It’s Welsh alright. It’s a little like if black midi and Of Montreal and She Wants Revenge met and kissed and made some noisy bright alt rock and put a little Sub Pop bow on it. - Caroline
WEDNESDAY:
TAYLA PARX (6:30PM) <18+> MFM presents this amazing artist. So cool, I love this new music video. Dallas Texas, grammy nominated. - Greg

BATHE ALONE (9:30PM) <18+> Atlanta based indie rock band. Blame Me is pretty freaking cool. - Greg
two years of back and forth had us land here. It's carries the melancholy of Beach House and feels made for cinema. Sure to be a beautiful scene. - Alex
Moody, groovy, dream pop! Honestly, this music is so reminiscent of the music they'd play on the sales floor at American Apparel in my late teen years. I will always cherish those years and that music... And that job honestly... This will be a good time! - Carson
Dark and stormy indie pop! Fans of Lorde, Snail Mail, and other black-cat girl music will enjoy! - Caroline
THURSDAY:
GENEVIEVE STOKES (6:30PM) <AA> Atlantic Records artist, kind of actually a likable popstar type to me, seems like a normal person like if you met she'd just talk to you like you are a person. Why is that so rare? Music is nice too. Wonderful. - Greg
Playful pop that tugs at the heart strings, reminds me of Lisa Mitchell (no faint praise) - Alex

EKKO ASTRAL (9:30PM) <21+> Bubblegum noise rock??? That's what I like. Give me that bubblegum rock, please for the love of god. I made Alex send me a forecast because I am feeling overworked and he said "damn I forgot how fucking good Ekko Astral is" and now I'm listening and finding OUT how good Ekko Astral is, and isn't that just what it's all about in a way? - Greg
Loud brash and funnnn. One of the most critically acclaimed records of the year on the punk side of things. Come throw down, it's basically the weekend. - Alex
Very cool Post-Punk fresh off of a tour supporting IDLES. This moment reminds me of DFA 1979 in a really good way. You just know this is gonna be a fun show. - Carson

COLONY HOUSE (6PM) <AA> Double Header for this act - big bus big production big feeling, will absolutely be an amazing sounding show as I go back and forth between C weighted and A rated DB limits with their FOH, which means... it'll be bumping. - Greg

GUERILLA TOSS + SPECIAL GUEST (11PM) <21+> ESTRELLA GALICIA presents the craziest free show we've had in a very long time. This one will be nuts and so cool. Cannot wait at all, truly and honestly <3 - Greg
Guerilla Toss feel, to me, like one of the most beloved bands of the 21st century on the East Coast. Always a blast live, loud and chaotic. Unhinged. And then there's the SPECIAL GUEST. A band I've been trying to get to Baby's since they dropped one of my favorite records of 2020. Do not miss this one, free and furious. - Alex
Listen, coming from Vermont, know that I love Guerilla Toss very deeply, spiritually, etc. Any Guerilla Toss show is going to be awesome, but the Special Secret Guest is going to make everyone go Ape Shit. If you are a fan of Indie Rock music I would advise you to not skip this one - you will wind up regretting it if you do. - Carson
This one is going to be so fkn mega you have no idea. Special guests have a record that came out this summer that had me pedaling hard and fast on my bike along the east river. Do not skip. - Caroline
