It's a feeling <3
My god it’s a dense one this week…so much to do, see, relish, listen to, it’s a little overwheming. That said, I just spent a few minutes in the sun with my friend and I feel good again. I love being here. Not to mention, it’s slushie season at Baby’s. We got blendies on lock now (pink baby + a frozen piña colada. We got happy hour 5-7pm. Baby’s All Right is longform for B.A.R., sort of. <3 - Caroline
MONDAY:
EARLY: SNUGGLE (7:00PM) <AA>
CPH takes New York. Their 2025 record Goodbye house released on escho fits right into the longstanding tradition of leftfield pop music pouring out of Scandinavia. Marigold and Carsick are highlights for me. Support (on both nights) by the beloved darlings of The Furniture Group, new band from the minds of Melody English and Teo. - Caroline
If anyone speaks even a whisper during the show we will all shush you. Come listen closely to another piece of Copenhagen’s messianic cultural output. Goodbyehouse is a phenomenal record and I am equally excited for support act The Furniture Group - Oscar
TUESDAY:
EARLY: GARBAGE DAY (6:30PM) <21+>
The final one for this lovely monthly residency! Garbage Day has built such a supportive community, if you are looking for giggles, gag and an interactive experience this is the event for you. - Manny
The final act in a three part installment of live podcast/discussion/comedy/slideshow nite with Garbage Day. Hosted by Ryan Broderick, who’s at the helm of the award-winning Garbage Day newsletter and podcast Panic World. Expect intellectual humor and cultural commentary, especially on the landscape of modern media. The work of Marshall McLuhan is probably a prerequisite on this. - Caroline
LATE: SNUGGLE (9:30PM) <21+>
Late one for the adults and sophisticates in the room. - Caroline
WEDNESDAY:
EARLY: TYLER BALLGAME (6:30PM) <18+>
Happy-go-lucky, easygoing folk music from Rhode Islander Tyler Ballgame, whose recent release on Rough Trade is perfect springtime listening. Here he is on Kimmel! - Caroline
LATE: ACCESSORY (9:30PM) <18+>
I am loving the new record from Accessory (solo project of DEHD’s Jason Balla)! It’s meditative, melancholic and melody-laden so all three “m” boxes are checked - Eli
THURSDAY:
EARLY: KELI HOLIDAY (6:30PM) <21+>
Austraia’s most virile export. The Peking Duk member has found his way into a similarly phenomenological solo career. And now he’s in New York City with Mr. eclectic Kirin J Callinan in tow. A very particular type of Australian man is ecstatic for this. Maybe you want to meet him..? - Oscar
Australia in the house. If you know Baby’s lore you know we have a soft spot for the Aussies. Keli Holiday will bring you a fun show. The man is hot, great booty and lately has been generous enough to be sharing feet pics on the gram, maybe we will get lucky and will show some piggies for free this Thursday. - Manny
LATE: *** **** (9:30PM) <21+>
Keen viewers of the Baby’s All Right IG story may have picked up on this one already. ;) - Caroline
FRIDAY:
EARLY: NOBRO (7:00PM) <18+>
Noisy, garagey, Canadian punks. This song is nasty, throw your body on the ground stuff. Supported by local riot grrl powerhouse THICK. - Caroline
LATE: TWISTED TEENS (10:00PM) <21+>
Yeah this one is gonna rock. New Orleans punk duo spinning up off-the-cuff-feeling rock and roll in a spirit that can only come from Nola. Whole new album rips. - Eli
SATURDAY:
EARLY: ANTHONY SZMIEREK (7:00PM) <18+>
Indie dance pop from Anthony Szmierek, who was on Jools Holland and seems to command a crowd with ease. Support from the angels Couch Prints, whose bedroomy dance universe is laden with whismy and romance and the live set is just too fun. - Caroline
LATE: BABY DANCE (11:00PM) <21+>
y’all know the drill. Free free FREE. Always and forever. Sick bands in the live room and popping DJs in the front. If you do not attend these, you’re fake. Sorry, I make the rules. - Manny
He does, and he gets sad at me every time I miss one, which is probably the heaviest guilt burden that I bear. - Caroline
SUNDAY:
EARLY: SAMARA CYN (7:00PM) <AA>
Another banger brought to you by our pals at Move Forward Music. I was first introduced to her via Ovrkast’s “Small Talk” and upon diving in discovered her incredible new album Detour. Big TDE vibes. - Eli
This Week At Baby’s Official Playlist
and, just for fun, one from Baba Stiltz + Okay Kaya <3
