March 30th - April 5th
It's a feeling <3
I know I say something along these lines every week, but I can’t believe it’s (nearly) April. We had a perfect party on Saturday night for Alex’s going away celebration. I love Baby’s All Right. Beautiful day out today. Not much else to say - Caroline
MONDAY:
BAR OPEN + SOPHIA JAMES PIANO POP UP (5:00PM) <21+>
Weekend was packed full. I slept 12 hours last night, my feet hurt from dancing, my cheeks hurt from laughing. Life is but a dream. Eli, Oscar, Alex and I are asleep at our desk right now. Come sit in a booth with us and recount, and enjoy a little piano set from Sophia James. - Caroline
TUESDAY:
EARLY: BRUTUS VIII (6:30PM) <21+>
Sweet Jackson making this one survive. Last minute headline for Bru, making sexy angry scorched no-wave music with dancer accompaniment and full throated performance. Support from “The Buzz,” the band you know but haven’t heard of. You won’t find them online under that name. That’s all I’m allowed to say about that for now, but I’d advise showing up for the early here. - Caroline
Bombastic freak shit from the Brooklyn native. heroically chaotic and intense live show, everything a boy like me wants. bring earplugs! - Oscar
WEDNESDAY:
EARLY: HUDSON FREEMAN (6:30PM) <18+>
The guitar riff heard round the world. This guy wrote a melody so catchy John Mayer covered it. Hudson’s been around for a bit, but this song really catapulted him into the stratosphere. I was in LA for a few weeks earlier this year and I kept putting on his cover of Wild Horses in my rental car and looking at the mountains and getting really welled up. He does special music. - Caroline
LATE: HUDSON FREEMAN (9:30PM) <18+>
Music so nice we did it twice. This one’s still got a handful of tickets left. - Caroline
THURSDAY:
EARLY: WILD PARTY (8:00PM) <18+>
2010s feel good rockers whose first album in over a decade dropped last year. The name speaks for itself we are going to have a wild party with wild party yah feel me? - Eli
FRIDAY:
EARLY: VITESSE X (7:00PM) <21+>
gorgeous nostalgic electronic pop. It’s fun, it’s breaksy, it’s dancy. Philly native QRTR on opening duty too (this stays on repeat on my USB). It’s a party it’s a friday come dance - Oscar
SATURDAY:
EARLY: PRISON (7:00PM) <21+>
They said we’re not all right. Prison opened for Pavement, Iggy Pop is a fan of theirs, and they’re just doing it for love of the game. Fun bill with @garcia.peoples and Mike Polizze of @purling_hiss. - Caroline
LATE: BABY DANCE (11:00PM) <21+>
Alex vs Alex “cassingle” release party co-pro with Familiar Face Records. Sofia is family, her music is in the realm of 90s R&B with some 2010’s trip hop in it. Come shake it. - Caroline
SUNDAY:
EARLY: HABIBI (7:00PM) <21+>
Lush psychy easygoing surfy indie tunes from Habibi. I remembered I listened to this record a bunch when I first moved to New York. - Caroline
Love this band. Nothing like some nice harmony laden garage rock to set you right on a Sunday night. I also think habibi is the best word in the whole world - Eli
This Week At Baby’s Official Playlist
